Lvl. 20 is in my opinion actually IMPOSSIBLE but other than that the game is really good and the first stages are easy when you played doctor mario ever before.
Also it would be really worth it if the clothes would just breake so that it would be worth completing the last stage
does the "not yet implemented" for face sprite path mean that the sprites haven't been made yet or that the code for it doesn't exist? i've been editing each stage's faces to fit the general tone of their dialogue, but i think dynamic expressions that match specific dialogue might be fun to make. i would only need to know how to script it.
I certainly would! I plan on taking commissions soon for more characters, as well as making a new set of sprites for this characters updated design once I get her ref sheet done.
Hey, just wondering what programs you used to create your custom sprite. I thought it looked really cool. Also wondering how those commissions were coming for more custom sprites and where to contact you for current info or discourse.
I used aseprite to make them! it's a 15 dollar pixel animation program on steam.
unfortunately, I haven't gotten any (confirmed) commissions for dr bobs characters, but if you're interested, you can find me on twitter; https://twitter.com/PoppedCherryJam
Definitely gonna toss you a few bucks, even though this project seems like it might be dead. There aren't nearly enough expansion games out there. Tempted to learn Unity and jump into the fray myself.
Always a good idea!! I have to admit this year's been really hard on me but I do have new sprites waiting to be added, and a list of bug fixes and stuff to work on - -
I like how easy this game is to mod, which is something I discovered rummaging through and tinkering in the sprites folder, but I do have a couple questions. Firstly, I was wondering what the difficulty value does, as I never noticed any particular difference in difficulty between characters while playing even though they all have different values. Second, is there a way to have more than 8 stages of growth for a character? I can't find any value that seems to indicate a number of stages, so are all character just hard-coded for 8? Thanks in advance! Or if you don't answer thanks anyways, your game is great!
8 is likely hardcoded since the sprites only come in 8 versions
I've found that if you change Valledeau's difficulty number her final measurement will be less, the sprites will change as usual though. You could try adding a new tag in the XML files and writing dialogue for a new stage to see if anything happens
I've tried adding more stages, and it seems modding the game code itself is necessary, as just adding more to the character's code makes the game freak out once you go up a stage.
I downloaded this a while ago, but I finally got around to beating it! I haven't ever played a game in this genre before so I don't have anything to compare it against, but this was pretty fun. Now I just need to download the new version so that I can get the "less boring victory screen!"
love the work you've done here! but maybe there should be a size exclusive to level 20 and beyond? maybe break the fourth wall and have their breasts push against the screen when they're big enough (I've looked at the files, and it would get around the cropping)
Actually not bad. It functions how you'd expect with one exception being the duplication bug on some restarts still being in the game. Is this game still going to get updated at all? Would be nice if there was some more content, maybe expanding the girls further with character related things as well, can see there being a few people who'd like that sort of addition.
It's a nice game but the controls are kinda touchy. I can't count how many times I got screwed over because I wanted to move the pill over one space but it went over two instead
Maybe it would be a good idea to make a template so that you can add custom characters? I noticed you can edit the in-game sprites quite easily so I imagine it shouldn't be too hard.
Wanted to let you know that when I tried the Mac version I was able to initially move past the start screen by hitting the "enter" key, but after it takes me to the options menu to choose speed and such it becomes impossible to move past it as I am unable to move to different options using the above controls or operate/start the game with the curser.
I'll look into this! Hopefully it's something that can be fixed without resorting to buying a mac myself lol
The input capture uses Unity's built-in system, so I'm a little confused if it's not working (it's something I would think they would have working across platforms). Are you using any kind of keyboard layout or system language that's not US English?
Oh, one other thing: the girls don't load in the chairs in the screen, either. I wonder if there's some sort of bug in that code that just prevents forward progress, vs an input bug.
Oh, now *that's* interesting. I've managed to find a friend who has a mac who may be able to do some testing... I'll be working on this as soon as I can!
i was a little disappointed after getting to level 20 that there wasn't an extra expansion stage for getting that far. it's a little disappointing that they cap out in size a bit early - but other than that, i have no complaints! excellent work, especially for someone new to making games!
This is great! Looking forward to that key-binding support in the future. Really not a fan of WASD. Also, I believe I found a glitch. Not sure how it happened or if it is an intended feature. The first time I started the game, it gave me the same girl twice in a row. Is that a random chance thing, or not intended?
Hmm, I haven't noticed any problems with the girl selection, but I'll definitely be looking into it.. Thanks for taking the time to leave some feedback, this sort of thing is very helpful!
I was thinking I might have switched the girl around by accident without realizing, but I remember seeing her there before I moved over to the girl selection. It hasn't happened since, though.
I can certainly try! I did build one but... due to the way the character emotes are loaded in, I'm not quite sure yet where to put the appropriate files, bc I don't have a lot of experience with the way Macs structure their stuff. I'll do my best to have a Mac build for version 1.0!
Pretty good game so far, all the main the main elements are there, all that's left is expansion *wink*, there is one notable bug though, occasionally when you lose, it will continue dropping pieces which then persist in the next round on retry, as well as then you control two phased together pieces at once until you go back to menu.

Mac version does not seem to work still unfortunately
can you make a nsfw version of this game plus hyper sized mode as well?
I think the dev has abandoned this game dude.
can you make the android version of Dr. bob, please?
Lvl. 20 is in my opinion actually IMPOSSIBLE but other than that the game is really good and the first stages are easy when you played doctor mario ever before.

how tf do you play this?
WASD and the space bar, its that simple
The game seems cool, but any input doesn`t work (i`m playing on windows version), in the start screen the enter works but anohter other place, no.

Gentlemen, I got bored (and horny) and since, to my knowledge, this game hasn't been updated in a while I've made my own NSFW reskin of Amory.
to use simply save as amory.png and replace the existing image in
DrBobs-v1.01 > sprites.
no need to thank me
Can you make more sprites like this? This is actually genius.
I am beavering away at my own project with Mythril, will update when I manage to get results.
I am calling her/this edit "Moothril."
glad to know that I'm not the only one making custom sprites
I actually added my own character to the roster a while ago (need to update her design, but I still like what I have so far).
https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1Tbc24AvL3FbSl-K_c9yx1z_mq-Etoy6v?usp=sha...
could you make more plase?
I certainly would! I plan on taking commissions soon for more characters, as well as making a new set of sprites for this characters updated design once I get her ref sheet done.

I also do pixel animations and digital art
Has anyone managed to get it to work on android?
When will the game update again
Can you make a version for android

Oh hey, nice. Good to hear you still have plans for it. I tried unity for all of about two hours before I gave up, haha.
how can I press stuff on the menu because somehow it does not work
Use the WASD keys, there is no mouse control
can you fix mac version and Linux

can you make it to where you can play in browser
a game that has an interesting concept keep it up!
love the work you've done here! but maybe there should be a size exclusive to level 20 and beyond? maybe break the fourth wall and have their breasts push against the screen when they're big enough (I've looked at the files, and it would get around the cropping)
ok that's actually a great idea
Arrow keys, please !
this doesn't work on mac, start button works but menu after that can't be interacted with

hey cool idea for a game but any input except enter at the starting screen don't cause anything to happen, im using the Windows version
Hey Hey! Any news on the Mac compatibility front?
very nice. played through up to level 23 and was far from disappointed. very much looking forward to potential updates in the future!
Wanted to let you know that when I tried the Mac version I was able to initially move past the start screen by hitting the "enter" key, but after it takes me to the options menu to choose speed and such it becomes impossible to move past it as I am unable to move to different options using the above controls or operate/start the game with the curser.
Yeah, whatever you're using to capture input doesn't seem to work on macs. Same experience here.
100% standard US keyboard. Spacebar did seem to get me past the Start selector, but no other inputs seem to work.
Happy to provide testing as well. Perhaps related to relative paths for asset-loading?
I love this game. This is definitely something I'm gonna keep an eye on
Would be cool if it could be available for Android
Love the size they get to though. Bigger than that would be a bit ridiculous for my taste.
I don't think the girl select works (windows version). No matter who I select, only Amory is chosen as the first girl.
The list goes from right to left... hmm, I wonder if there's a way to make that more apparent.
You could say that pressing down or up lets you select whether the girl is in the lineup or not.
i love you dev
Aww, I love you too, anime tiddy connoisseur
i was a little disappointed after getting to level 20 that there wasn't an extra expansion stage for getting that far. it's a little disappointing that they cap out in size a bit early - but other than that, i have no complaints! excellent work, especially for someone new to making games!
Fully agreed, getting that one extra sprite for perfecting the game would be amazing. Also maybe uncensored mode in future...?
That actually sounds like a nice unlockable. "Topless" mode or something like that.
*takes notes*
This is great! Looking forward to that key-binding support in the future. Really not a fan of WASD.
Also, I believe I found a glitch. Not sure how it happened or if it is an intended feature. The first time I started the game, it gave me the same girl twice in a row. Is that a random chance thing, or not intended?

i hate you dev
ok well thanks for your feedback I guess
why tho
Now that is what I call constructive criticism.
Sorry to bother, but do you think you could make a Mac version? I'd really like to play this, but I currently can't.
I can certainly try! I did build one but... due to the way the character emotes are loaded in, I'm not quite sure yet where to put the appropriate files, bc I don't have a lot of experience with the way Macs structure their stuff. I'll do my best to have a Mac build for version 1.0!
Thank you very much. I certainly look forward to playing it for myself

ty! reports like this are super helpful and I'll do my best to have this fixed in the next version!
